A look ahead...

It is crazy to think that I am down to two and a half months. 10 weeks.

Because I like check lists, and calendars, and schedules, and writing useless blog posts,

here is an overview of my remaining time in Senegal:

Week 10 - March 8-14 - Sokone

Work. Research. Baptism.

My host mother gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby boy on Saturday March 7th 2010. The baptism will be this coming Saturday. Remember the last post? What awaits - good company and good conversation over laax (millet and yogurt/cream) and mutton.

But this also means that I need to brave the market tomorrow to go shopping. Oh goodness.

Week 09 - March 15-21 - Sokone

Work. Research.

And hopefully some traveling during the weekend.

Option 1: Mar Lodg, an island paradise in the delta. I've heard you can take a nap in a hammock!

Option 2: Checking out waterfalls further inland. Near Tambacounda.

Option 3: Just lounge around Sokone. Maybe pack a picnic and spend a day on an island.

As you can tell, I am already itching to get out.

Week 08 - March 22-28 - Sokone

Work. Research.

Another weekend for traveling.

Week 07 - March 29-April 04 - Sokone

Work. Research.

Easter weekend, so Britta my go-to traveling buddy is going to be in Dakar to celebrate it with her host family. Who knows what kind of trouble I will get up to. But school is out for the week, so we'll see if I could maybe get a few days off of work to go to the Gambia.

Week 06 - April 05-11 - Sokone

Work. Research. Ugh.

Week 05 - April 12-18 - Sokone

Work. Research.

This week, I should actually get something done... considering that this huge research paper is due the next week.

And it's getting time to say goodbye. While I definitely on coming back before I leave the country, it would only be for a few days at a time.

Week 04- April 19-25 - Dakar

If all goes according to plan and I stop procrastinating, I will have a finished or near-finished research paper!
