I knew my life was too good to be true

I am seeing an end to my cushy lifestyle flash before my eyes.

Internet: the best part of my job
Daily access to internet makes my job so much easier to deal with...
a) when I am busy, as I have been lately, it means that I have access to ESL lesson plans and tutorials for Word and Excel.
b) when I am at a loss for work, it means that I can stay in touch with all ya'll by checking email, posting pictures (should any actually be taken for once), updating this blog, connecting on skype, etc.

And yet, Kër Gui is in a bind. When I arrived in October, there were two working laptops at the office and 4 working computers (and 1 on loan) at the internet café, an offshoot of my organisation. Now, the office is down to one laptop that moves extremely slowly and needs to be given a rest every so often because there is no fan. And the cyber café is down to 1 computer, the one originally reserved for Babacar who runs the cyber café. Even the computer we borrow from my friend Ahmed isn't working...
Am I the curse?

So, long story short, internet access might be limited. But then again, I am lucky enough to have other internet cafés in town (but where I will actually have to pay).

Here's the problem: I have a netbook at the house. I am just extremely hesitant to bring it into work because the computers here are still infested with viruses, and my colleagues are using the same USB keys as last semester. These haven't been reformated, even though I told them that my key contracted a virus to the point that it had to be reformated and I lost a lot of my pictures.

Should I be nice, and share my computer?
Or should I be selfish? (don't forget about that humongous research paper that can't write itself)
