one week!

As of this morning, I have spent one entire week in Dakar. I still don't know the local language, my way around the neighborhood, my class schedule, my internship field... too much to even begin list.

Here are some pics of Ile de Goree- we visited the historical site during orientation week. It is famous for the maison des esclaves (house of slaves), although it played a relatively unimportant role in the West African slave trade.
