Tomorrow evening I leave for Dakar. A final fall seminar, and then the States!
Sokone has been amazing. I am excited to be returning next semester, in spite of all the marriage proposals and the strenuous job of doing ABSOLUTELY nothing...
However going home couldn't come soon enough:
-I just had my first major bout of homesickness. Jess can attest to me calling home in tears.
-And I am ready for hot showers, considering how the bucket showers are starting to seem awfully cold in the morning.
-And it's too cold to go swimming.
-And the mosquitoes are getting pretty bad, more often than before.
-And I'm starting to feel like my body is falling apart... just too many little aches.
But before the States, I get to see my host family in Dakar! It's been six weeks and I miss them like crazy. I chose to head back Friday night rather than Sunday night, which means missing a baptism here in Sokone, but I get two days with the family before starting class...
